Hey Deb,
I haven't had problems with Iron, I do have a problem with Vitamin D. I take over 100,000mg a week...I am hoping that helps. I find out May 6th if the pills have helped. I hope they have. Have you or has anyone ever had a problem getting in the recomended amount of calories a day??

Hi - Hope every one is doing well. Have been pretty busy myself. Looks like another great day here in Upstate NY. The sun is out right now and it should be pretty warm. I'm hoping to get out in the yard for a bit.

Looks like my body doesn't like iron. Found out yesterday that I am going to need an iron infusion. To quote my nutritionist "failed at oral iron 3x a day".  This sucks but I'm hoping that an infusion will kick up the levels and then taking it orally will keep it up. Anyone else have this problem?

Hope you all have a fabulous day! Deb

Sorry for your troubles with your lap band. Only 20lbs sucks. I agree with the other poster. Maybe you should get the DS. Dr Roslin does a conservative ds.  Check us out on the DS board too.

Topic: RE: Revision w/ Medicaid?
I called Albany and have started the process with them.  They first want my records sent to them and then I go from there.

If I wasn't self-employed (work on the computer from home) I would be getting a check for SSI but I don't because of our income but they have kept my medicaid in place since I require visits for my leg/knee.    They have never suggested medicare to me but being I have enough work credits now I should look into it.  Thanks for the idea.

Thank you very much for the info on the removal of the band as I had no idea that it required a 6 week wait.

What are the requirements once accepted into the program?  At Bassett we had to attend at least 3 support groups along with a 1 time orientation session.  Then there were the normal requirements of a certain of amount of weight to shed, nutritionist, certain testing etc.
