I do live right in rochester...but if they were on weekends I would be willing to make the trip :-) Some weekends I travel all over the state for different bike tours and recently started doing triathlons...so I am always up for an adventure

Thanks so much I have heard of the Daughters of Zion and anyone I know who is involved loves it. I so feel the Lord leading me to form a group strictly for weight loss but I am so thankful for the info. Bless you. I will let you know when I get this off the ground.

I have straight medicaid (due to SSI disability) and have surgery scheduled with Dr. Panemanglore on Monday 6/14/10. His office called me the day after my first visit, said he had a cancellation, and scheduled my surgery for 2 1/2 WEEKS later! I guess NO problem getting medicaid to approve it!

Hi Karyn, I am also a Christian who loves and serves the Lord. I am 5 1/2 yrs post op. What a wonderful idea for a support group. I have been going to a few groups over the years but none of that nature. Let me know if you find one. I do attend a woman's support group which is bible based. It's called Freedom O' Daughters of Zion. It's a wonderful group if you were looking for something like that the next open house meeting is August 10th @ 6:30pm. Lighthouse Tabernacle in Central Islip. This group has nothing to do with weight loss surgery. But thought you may be interested none the less.

Hi Eileen.. I want to wish you good luck on your upcoming surgery. I know some Dr. Garber patients and I've only heard good things. I never heard about any Holover patients. I'm glad everything is going well with you and Dr.Garber. But I really need some feedback from Post-Op patients of Dr. Holover.
