Topic: CIGNA in NYC questions
Hi Folks, I joined Obesityhelp yesterday and I have some Questions about CIGNA. do they require a 6mo preop diet? Also, how long does it take for them to approve the surgery?

Peace and Love,
Sonia

Does your surgeon's office provide any referrals?  I would check with them first.

I am sorry that you had a negative experience at Arnot Bariatric.  They performed my surgery and it was a thorough and diligent process--my recovery was text book and I would recommend my surgeon to anyone considering WLS.

I wish you the very best in your journey and I hope that you are able to find a surgeon that meets your personal needs.

thanks so much for the good thoughts! I guess I just wanted to share that experience with youall. And also try to put some feelers out there for a new surgeon.

I live in Upstate NY - the Finger Lakes area. Near Corning, Elmira, Syracuse. I am only interested in having the Vertical Sleeve Gasectomy, and since that isn't done as much it narrows down my choices. Of course I would like to be as close to home as possile.

Intensity65, do you know if they do the sleeve where you ae going?

Thanks so much for the advise, and well wishes!

Topic: Free container- BA cherry chewables calcium
I have a container of the Bariatric Advantage, Calcium Citrate chewables 270ct. They were sent free to me by BA after I had surgery along with other vitamins. I have taken about 10 of them and am not a fan. I would like to give them to someone locally in need. I live in the orange county area. Please let me know if you are interested, thanks.

Topic: RE: No DS with Fidelis :(
I have Fidelis too (it's a state wide program) and I live in Warren County. I am going to have the DS done (hopefully in October) and I found my doctors - Dr. Hill & Dr. Hixson in Saranac Lake. I know they are a long drive.... but if that is what your heart is set on for surgery then it would really be worth the drive for you. Plus, it's beautiful country.
