Yes today went by really slow and yes its because this is our last week of summer school then vacation..I can't wait..

I am a little frustrated today because I still have not received a surgery date..been approved by insurance..faxed the letter to Dr. office..and still nothing..so while I am on vacation I will be getting things ready..my first thing is to get my house in order.,..then all the things to buy like protein shakes and the lovely jello and broth I will have to eat for a week..and the list goes on..

but all in all this Monday was a good Monday..have a great night also and I'll be back tomorrow..

Happy Monday Night NY!

I am going to plug Dear John in the DVD player soon. Hubby is out of town so it is "Chick Fliks" for me!

Today went by pretty slow at work. Probably because this is my last week before vacation.

Eating was a little better. I just had a yummy tortilla with sauteed peppers and onions and melted cheese-open face. I think the 8' totilla was too much for me. Bread stuff still does not do well.

Craving something sweet as usual now so I will look for a decent choice.

What do you eat at this time or times when you are looking for something sweet???

BTW, I LOVE   the action on these NY boards!! Keep popping on and more will follow!

Have  a great night and see ya tomorrow,

Lisa

You are funny!

Where are you from??

Nice to see you all the way over here on the NY forum!

What is Body Combat?? Sounds like a fighting class.

Way to go on all the exercise!

Sara,

Welcome!

You have the same surgeon as I do. I like him alot!

I am close to you. South Glens Falls. Off Exit 17. I know there are folks around here who have had surgery but not too many on the boards.

I have been trying to get hte NY forum to be a little more active. It is picking up some. I try to log on everyday.

I did not read your profile but what kind of WLS did you have and tell me how it is going.

Thanks for stopping by,
Lisa

Guess us ladies are lucky as we can get great sports bras to help with the jiggle factor - I had to buy a new one today as I was entertaining the guys more than I wanted to on the weekend when I played squash - and it wasn't my game they were watching !

Exercise wise I'm doing the following :

30 mins Eliptical - hills or 30 mins C25k programme on the treadmill then 20-30 mins machines and weights
Couple of games of squash per week
Couple of Pilates Reformer classes per week
1 or 2 RPM (Spinning) classes per week

I also want to do Body Combat as soon as my schedule will allow it.

Keep up the good work.

UnderArmour compression gear is AWESOME!  Helps keep stuff in place and not jiggling/bouncing/flapping all over....

Also, walmart has starter-brand compression shirts that fit the bill as well...cheaper in cost...

I like the underarmour short better than the starter ones....seems to fit the "parts" better! LOL

Also, these help you look better in dress shirts/suits...if you have to wear them....

I walk and bike, BTW....

Walking is my exercise of choice -- when I exercise.

As for the issue of the loose skin - perhaps one of those body slimmers for men. I saw them mentioned on one of the other boards a long time ago. I think if you google "male body shaper" you'll find some. If they are anything like the female ones, they will keep you from slapping yourself silly!

Have a great day - Deb
