Thanks for responding. I'm feeling overwhelmed by the upcoming changes. I spent a lot of time reseaching weight loss surgery, a few years ago. When I received the original denial from my insurance company, i stopped thinking about it. Now, with approval, I'm going forward but focus is gone. I don't really know what I should be doing in these 2 weeks before surgery date to get ready? I've never tasted a protein drink, never taken supplements. Any suggestions/recommendations where to start?
I had Sleeve and am in Nassau. I'll send you a friend request.

My RNY is scheduled for 9/15 and I'd love to speak with someone that has recently been thru the same procedure. I'm a bit scared as well as feeling under prepared for the whole-life change. If you know of anyone that would be able to speak with me, I would appreciate your assistance.
Thanks so much,
Clare S.
It took 2 years to receive insurance approval and now not quite prepared for what's coming. I'd love to speak with someone who has had RNY recently and can give me an idea where to start to prepare for the upcoming surgery, i.e. food, mindset, etc. Any guidance would appreciated.
Nice day to have off!
Good for you hitting the gym. I am going to start walk/run. Some friends want to start doing some 5K's this fall. I can only run 1/4 mile right now so I gotta lot a work to do!!

It is nice to see all the people from our area!
Some of you are waiting for surgery and that may seem like it takes forever! Take this time to check the boards and read up on "stuff" Believe it or not the "before" stage is fun too!
I am 18 motnhs out and would love to have the experience of the losing stage again! That was the most fun! Every week your body transforms. I was a "lightweight" had 100lbs to lose and was lucky enough to have that happen in 8-12 months, I have been pretty much maintaining since before December. Now is the hard part. Cravings and old habits are coming back!
So local, yocals! Keep logging on and enjoy the ride!

It is a beautiful day here in Upstate NY! The sun is shining and there is not a cloud in the sky!
I am not sure what I will be doing today. I have to get a few kids to football practice for 12:30 then I am" free to be"!
Drinking some Island Coconut coffee now and doing some "light" (very light) cleaning. Really should be doing major overhaul on the closets! I think I will wait for rainy day to do that.
I plan on making some more homemade granola too but it does not look like a "light the oven" day today either. I guess I will have to go outside!
I should contemplate doing some exercise..........walking, hiking, ......shopping!
Feeling groggy....I am sure it is lack of "good" eating,, too many carbs and sugar, and not taking my vits. * note to self: TAKE VITS!
Well, I hope everyone enjoys their day!
What are you doing today??
