Marcy, Congrats on your surgery hun ~hugs~ Yeah it takes a while for the bloating to go down for sure.....I lived on Gas-X!!!! Walking also helps with that. Just try mushy things like pureed cottage cheese, F/F Refried Beans, s/f jello, s/f ice pops, any meats pureed that you can stand. Are you doing the protein shakes? mashed potatos with some protein powder in it and of course sip your water and take your vitamins....Also get your rest hun and congrats again..... Now your on the losing side. Debra P

Walking should help with the bloating. As far as what to eat... I'm guessing that you are on liquids. Try some chicken broth, hot tea and jello. I know I hate the stuff, but you have to eat something. If you're on soft/pureed, then Deb's suggestions are right on. Joanne

Hi and congrats on your surgery. Sugar free popcycles saved me! They are a great source of fluid, which I was having a hard time with during first couple of weeks of post-op. I could only have liquids the first week. I also mixed apple juice with water, plain water, and sugar-free jello. Good luck and take care. Karen
