Surgery still on for the 20 th !

Hi all , Just thought I would pop in and tell you that my surgery is still on for April 20 th and will not be moved up ! I got the new's late yesterday . I was a little disappointed at first but moved past that quickly ! I am glad for the lady whom might of gotten postponed if she did not lose the required weight per our surgeron ! She must have succeeded or he would have postponed her ! I am very happy for her and wish her all the best on Friday ! I know first hand what it is like being postponed and do not wi**** happened to anyone ! Still , I can't beleive my surgery is only 10 day's away ..counting today ! I am so excited ! I am really nervous as well ! I am going to call a psych. doc today and try to get in shortly after my surgery to discuss my emotional eating issues . I worked my nerves up so bad yesterday waiting to hear from my surgerons office on whether I was being moved u*****t that when I did find out I cheated and went and ate something ! I know it was just b/c of my nerves and I plainly just ate to medicate as so many of us do but at that point I did not care ! So I am seeking the help I need and I am so hopeing I will be able to control this after my surgery ! Thanks to all of you for your support ! Have A great Day ! and Carol

Carol, Hun thanks for letting us know and I am sorry it stayed the same but you are so right, good thing she lost the weight and is have her surgery as planned. Next Thurs will be here before you know it...and that is the day I go see my surgeon for a follow up. What time are you scheduled for? and do you have someone that will post to let us know how it goes? I am so excited for you hun... I know you have been waiting a while and sticking to your shakes. Hun that is a great idea to schedule an appt for right after surgery, I wish I would have started then and not waited like I did, I go to the phyc on April 21st at lunchtime. So many issues and I noticed that right after surgery I was quick to anger and I know that was from food issues....NOW that I can eat more it seems to have lessened but I am also eating to many carbs so there still are issues that need to handled. :shurg: Hun you will do awesome after surgery because you are aware of this now and you will do what you have to do! Hey Debra Beautiful Day out there isn't it ? I beleive I am scheduled for my surgery @ 7:45 am next Thursday ! I do have someone to post updates for me her name is Laura . She is my angel . She lives really close by and is coming to the hospital to see me as well . I met her through this board . She seen that I was from Fort Plain area emailed me and ever since we have made good friends of each other ! I have also met another person on this through this board and she has been going to the support group meetings with me . She and I share the same surgeon and she is about 2 months out from RNY so she has been so encouraging as well . I love this board and all of you , you guys make me feel so good with your encouraging words and showing everyone that you really do understand and care ! It really makes all the difference , doesn't it ? I have my husband home with me for a full 7 day's after my surgery to help me with recovery . I am hopeing that it will be enough time for me to be able to be back to doing little things to manage on my own . Good luck with your follow up appt. ! I wish you the best ! and , Carol

Hi Carol! I can't believe it is only 10 days away! Oh my goodness. You must ******vous wreck! You are still drinking all of those shakes?? Oh my go**** seems like you have been FOREVER! I could never do that pre-op. I admire you will power that is for sure!! How much have you lost so far just from the stupid shakes? Hi there Tav ! Yes you are right I am indeed a nervous wreck ! 10 day's and counting and feels like it is coming on fast ! I am still drinking the Medifast shakes and yes they are a bit sickening and boring now ! It seems like I have been on them forever ! So far I have lost 48 lbs. but I think I have lost a couple more since last weeks weigh in so probably about 50 lbs now ! My next and last weigh in is this Thursday so I will know by then . My scales are a pound or two different than my surgeons every time ! I like mine better though b/c i weigh less on them ! Thanks for your support and I hope you are able to stablize that weight of your's so that dreadful tube will not have to go in ! and Carol
