I screwed up and feel sick about it.

Mmmmmm now that sounds yummy!! We all have weak moments and as an emotional eater myself I too STILL feed my pain with food sometimes... I screw up, bru**** off and continue on the right path the next time I choose to eat... We are human afterall and humans screw up... Unfortunately, they don't fix our emotional eating problems when this surgery is done... That is a part we will battle with for the rest of our lives unfortunately... The key is to not let the thoughts win all the time when the thought to eat comes to mind... Or if you feel a need to eat something, choose something you can eat that is also sweet... I've been eating grapes and strawberries each time I feel like having a big ole donut or a hunk of cheesecake... IT works most of the time for me... Don't be hard on yourself Kenny and realize that you will screw up... We all have our weaknesses otherwise we wouldn't have became obese in the first place right? Food is just that, its food... You need it to nourish your body but it is important to pick something relatively healthy for you especially during times of weakness... Keep a snack with you when you're out and about so the temptation won't be there.... Hang in there!! Ohhh in case you are interested, there is a good book I read called "Life is hard, food is easy" which I read pre-op and as a new post-op... The author is Linda Spangle... It helped me... It deals with emotional eating.... Good luck hon... Chelle
