TGIF,
OK today is a vent session for me....Sorry in advance for this!
I have been trying to get back to my eating and it is just so hard right now with all the house stuff going on. I know I should be SOOO happy but dealing with the wrong eating is making me nuts! I started back on my flax seed 3 times and all the times I get so bloated and gain up to 4 lbs with this stuff so I am not going to add that in right now! Dealing with the poop problems is driving me nuts but I will just take the Glycolax ever other day until I get my head back to where it should be. I am frustrated that I am not losing that much anymore, which I knew would happen and I am not being all that good so that is adding to it!
Just a crazy cycle of me babbling I guess.
Thanks for listening all...
Still taking all my water and vitamins so that is a good thing!
I just have to find a middle ground with my eating while our house is all messed up because it will take some time to get it back to normal and I need to make this WORK!
Well once again my AMOS family, thank you for letting me vent..
Love you guys!
Debra P

Hello My
/ angelette
I know exactly how you feel with the eating thing. I have not lost anything in about a month, it's been hectic for me too and am not eating right at all. I have been picking on chocolate which is a
I'm petrified that I will fall back into my old ways. I always was an emotional eater and its not a good thing. I have to get my tush back in gear. I think I'm going to go back to the basics and try to eat 3 meals a day with no snacking. My other downfall is coffee... i've been drinking alot of coffee lately, anywhere up to 5 cups a day. going to try to do decaf
and im definately not drinking any water which has to change. you are not alone! I know how stressful a house is, lets not even go into the money part...
Wishing you luck on the new house! Next time youre in LI, give me a call, hopefully we can get together!

Good Morning Deb,
Sorry to hear you're having difficulty, It will pass!!! You have sooo much on your "plate" right now, you will get back on track. What does the flax seed do? I have seen you post about eating it but I don't know what it does. I hear ya about the bloating, seems every three or four days I have a day of bloating and I feel huge, though I don't gain, just feel like a house on those days. I have started walking outside since the weather has gotten better, I love it. I didn't walk yesterday, but went shopping a the S&A boutique instead, I think I was there about 3 hours looking through stuff. Came home with a bunch of stuff for $24. Most of it in like new condition. I am definitely in a size 16 now, I am sooooo excited. I haven't been that size since my girls were babies.
Anyway what I ate:
B- 1 egg and cheese omlette and coffee
L- mcdonalds ceaser salad with crispy chicken ( i know the crispy chicken isn't the best choice, but I don't do that very often) only ate about 1/4 of it
S- 1 sf hersey chocolate miniature
D- 1 frozen 4 inch long beef and bean burrito with cheese on top
S- couple handfuls of sunflower seeds
had coffee all day, little water 2 flintstones, 1 biotin, 1 protonix
thats it

I am totally new to this site, so I have a question. (let me first say that I'm sorry if it's a dumb question!). I always thought that if you have gastric bypass, you don't have to worry about how much you eat, because your stomach pouch is now so small. I totally understand that you have to have a certain amount of protein, drink water, and take vitamins, but don't you get full really fast now?? I have my consulation in 2 weeks, so I'm sure the doctor will give me alot more information, but I'm curious from all of you.........

Michele,
Hun no question is dum, we all had to start some where so do not worry about asking questions.
First off, Welcome to the board!
At the begining you are very limited on the qty you eat, after the 6-8 month mark you can see that you can start to eat more though it will never be the BIG qty you had before, you can eat more and gain weight. You have to then start to REALLY work on your eating habits and eat the right foods.
There are some days when I can only eat a little at a time but now mostly I can sit down to a good meal, not as big as I used to which is a good thing since it was much bigger then a normal portion size. Also later out you can start to add things that your body would not like earlier in the journey so that is a challenge to STILL/Forever eat the healthy things.
I hope that give you some info and yes your surgeon should offer so much more, make sure you ask questions hun...best of luck and please keep us posted.

Shannon,
Yes it will pass hun and thanks... ~hugs~ well the flax seed is so good for you, it gives you the fiber and Omega oils you need but I just hate the bloating and weight gain that comes with it right now so I am backing for of it for a while.
Yes I walked yesterday at lunch myself and it was nice....love the warmer weather and I am enjoying not being "chilled" all the time now.
Tale care

Thanks so much, Debra!
I've been reading alot of the posts and everyone seems very nice! As I sit at work at my desk, with my waistband of my pants pinching into me, I've never felt so down about how I look. I have diabetes type 2 from being overweight, as well as high cholesterol. The few people I have told that I want to have surgery, I am told I am out of my mind......just go on a diet.......blah, blah, blah. In a way, it makes me feel like a loser for not being able to lose weight that way. I actually excercise 5x a week now, but I still eat ALOT, so I obviously don't lose anything. I'm actually gaining. I'll work out, then go home and eat half a bag of oreos. Then half a bag of chips. THEN dinner. I buy reduced fat oreos and light chips, but who am I kidding??? I still stuff my face, then feel guilty about. Then wonder why I can't stop.
I SERIOUSLY think I have a food addiction. I love to eat. I constantly think about what my next meal is going to be. It's like a sickness. I was even going to go to OA.
I don't care what the nay-sayers tell me. I'm going to see what the doctor says. My appointment is with Dr. Brathwaite in 2 weeks.
Thanks for listening!!

Michele,
Hun what you are saying is true for most of us! We love or have a love affair with food, it has been there for me ALL my life. In bad, good or so so times food has always come through for me! YES we are all addicted to food....
The good thing is that you are moving and exercising, that is really good but I know how you feel so hang in there and do what you have to do for YOU! Never mind what the others say, we are doing this to take back the control that was taken from us! It will be a battle for the rest of our lives but we can and WILL win this! Takeing care of your mind and body with this journey will see us through.
I have had many people say to me that I took the easy way out and it used to make me so mad well now I just laugh because if they only knew this is NOT the easy way out. Doing NOTHING is the easy way out.
Well hun if you want to chat just email me anytime... ~Hugs~
