Vegetarian Diet?
Yes, for me somewhat although I am more of a "pescatarian" which is fish only. If I eat anything else, like beef or chicken it's a rare occasion, when I eat out, which is not a lot at all. I've only taken this up since 4 weeks post op because I love chicken more as pets-lol and was told I may not tolerate beef with the band.
I eat boca burgers, have tried the morningstar "chicken" nuggets, boca chili(good), gardenburgers, and the gardenburger brand riblets(these are good.) I am not 100 percent sure if this is right, but I think the boca chili has 19g of protein in one bowl. I wish vegetarian food prices were a little lower, I'd probably try more things. I discovered a Trader Joe's on the way home from my surgeon's office, so I will be having some fun there when I go next.
The only kind of fish I usually eat is tuna fish.

I'm glad to see I don't have to eat meat. I've actually been debating whether to add fish back into my diet. I was worried about not getting the Omegas, but I found hempseeds and add them to everything. They have a great balance of Omega 3, 6 & 9.
Mmmmm...love veggie burgers. Eat them alot in the summer as they are easy to throw on the grill for a quick lunch or dinner while we are out in the back yard. And aren't those riblets great?!?!
A good sub for chicken is Quorn. If you have an opportunity to try it, it'll suprise you how much it actually takes and feels like chicken. Not sure of the protein content...I'll have to look when I get more.
