One Year Anniversary
Hello Everyone
Well today is my one year anniversary I'm happy and sad at the same time.I'm happy because I lost over 90lbs but struggling to be in the onederland with everyone else.
I thought I would have been in onederland for Christmas or New Year so ok for my anniversary date but it didn't happen. So it made me a little depress but I'm ok with it.After my emerency surgery last june(for double hernia and bowel obstruction)my weight loss had slow down dramatically. You know what I'm down 201,wearing a size 14-16 in jean and 12-14 in top.
All my accomplishments and trying to do more:
I can walk 2miles a day without getting out of breath or walking up a flight of stairs
I can squat to tie my shoe without bending over and passing out without breathing
I can buckle my seatbeat on the airplane without an extended Hurrrray
I can sit in the movie seat without the hip been pinch or getting numb
I can do a light jogg
I can wear ankle braclet the normal length
I can wear capris pants without my ankles looking like a tree trunk
I can get on amusement rides
I can do an indian squat
I don't get horrific headache
My medication is down to 3 pills instead of 6 pills and doses has decrease
My blood pressure is down to nomal and below normal at times
No more heart palpation or chest pain
Finally I don't feel like the fat one in the group or at work.Been an ICU nurse the pt rooms are very small,so it is a pain and a headache moving around in these rooms.Especially when the doctor are doing a procedure in the rooms it is hard moving around in there. Can't wait till we get in the new
hospital. But I can move around the rooms with move confidence and ease since I lost the weight.
The only thing that is keeping my spirit up ,is I'm traveling again on a cruise this Sunday can't wait.Been shopping like a fool, even brought a tankini and a bikini Ha!Ha!Ha!
Don't get me wrong I'm thankful for having this suergery because if I didn't I probably be in and out of hospital with my blood pressure and heart problem not to name all the other problem I had then or maybe dead.I don't post that much anymore because i work long hours(7a-7p and I live upstate ny and work in city so I'm upfrom445am-11pm)and I see other weber from March 2005 and on loosing so much weight,it make me a little upset thinking i'm doing somethhing wrong.I just take it one day at a time,I'll come on every now and then to wish the pre-op good luck.
Well,I'm going to go there before I leave,I thank the Lord for holding my hand when I made the decision to have this surgery.

Hi Claire, I need to tell you that you have so much to be proud of. You have done great. This is going to be a struggle for the rest of our lives, some will loose lots quick and others it will take a little longer. The improtant thing is that you stay in the game. If you are stuck, re evaluate what you are doing. Add some more protien, cut out some carbs, increase water intake and exercise when you can. None of the above are easy but try different things. If you need more help go see your nutrionist. See if she has any ideas. Take it one step at a time. Most of us it took out whole lives to get to the highest weight we were, its going to take a while to get to our goals. Keep positive, keep focused and be proud of what you have done so far. We are all here for you!

Claire,
Wow you have done so much and congrats on ALL of that hun
Awesome....
You have to remember we all lose at different rates but I know it can be upsetting at times, I sometimes feel that this is slowing down so much now but I also have to look at the fact I am adding more foods into my meal plan now so of course that will happen. Take your time and do not worry about other peoples numbers, it will happen for us ALL and the it is all good as long as we keep moving forward and down in the numbers.
Hun have fun on your cruise....
I can not wait to be able to do something like that. Have a great time!!
CONGRATS AGAIN!

Hi Claire!
You have done so well...I think that is wonderful. I was about where you were weight wise when I lost my grip on my diet 3 yrs ago and had never hit onederland. But you have a lot going for you. Don't worry about other numbers because your mileage may vary. Your loss is nothing small at all!
A cruise...wow that is great...we're going on one next year, and we went on our first last year. Addicting, aren't they? Hubby wants to go to Canada, that was the only way I could get him to agree to go on a cruise again-lol.
