frustration

Insurance company informed my physician that they only have one piecce of paperwork that was just sent in 3/22. When I called then and asked how could that be because on 2/20 they gave me and the dr. office a pre-authorization number on all of the paperwork they had received they could not give me an answer. As the benefits administrator for my employer I called our representative what he basically told me got me even more upset, bc/bs scans in all paperwork when it comes in so they either keyed in the wrong pre-auth number or they are just giving me the run around. either way I drafted a letter to the NYS Attorney General and my local congressman. It infurates me that the headlines in the paper talk about the billions BCBS has in reserves and the number of VP's in the Syracuse office that make over a million dollars a year and they can't approve medical care. Sorry needed to vent. What BCBS doesn't know is I am one persistant SOB and now the game is on.

I have BC/BS too and i'm in the same office to, i have Dr. Cunningham. Call again because that thought they lost my paper work but what had happen was i was approved and they had already put my paper work in a file and deleted the scanned stuff from the computers. Give Debie a call she really good and she knows how to get what needs to be done, done. I'm not 100% sure but i think they can fax over your paper work or over night it.
