Hard truth from my 12 year old son

Tonight I walked the Galleria with my 12 and 15 year old sons. I was checking out some new colthes in Filenes, and they both snickered at the types of clothing I was looking at, saying I don't wear that kind of clothing (sporty skinny mens clothes)! I realized that they both have only seen me in fat mans sweat shirts and fleece pull overs, never in their lives did they see me dress as I once did some 30 years ago in button down shirts. Worse than that my Nicholas told me he use to get embarrased of me being so fat because of what some of his friends use to say about me! I don't know if I should feel worse for his feelings or mine? But hahahahahahahahahaha THE FAT ASS IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Daddy Happy- Nicholas happy!!!!!!! Kenny

hi kenny i also had that same thing happen but my kids told me about it a few years ago (my son is 19 and my daughter is 18 in may)now when my kids freinds see me they tell the kids youre mom looks goood ... my kids are very proud of me hugs lisa 316/172/150ish

You know, kids say exactly what we have know all along but tried to put in the back of our minds. We know how we look when we are at our worst. There are no "cool" clothes for fat people, we take whatever fits at that point. My kids are so happy right now all they keep saying is how much i look like a teenager. THey want me around ALL the time, they want me to come to the school now for functions. Its so hard on a child to have a heavy parent because there are so many other "mean kids" . YOu are doing great and that is a huge compliment from your son. SHows he is proud of you..He said he "used to get embarrased"... Hey Kenny...."Lets Go Rangers!" They lost again last night, not good! First, congrats on the mall walking! We were going to go to the Palisades Mall yesterday so I could spy on my older son whow was at a birthday party as well as mall walk for exercise-lol. But we ended up going to Hannaford for a couple of things and getting McD's for the little one. Oh well-lol. And that is so awesome that you are just melting away and it's such a positive thing for you and your boys. Mine have not said much yet, but the hubby tells me I look good all the time.
