How soon to get a fill

Hi everyone. I am 3 weeks post op. Everything is going smoothly. I was just wondering how soon after surgery anyone got their first feel and how did they know it was time?

Hi Samantha and congrats on being banded! Did you set up an appt at your 2 wk follow-up visit? I think my first fill was about 6-8 wks post-op. The important thing is to heal first. The surgeon decides when/if/how much fill you need based on the info you tell him regarding your restriction, what foods you eat and how long you stay full after meals etc. You might want to hop on over to the Lapband message board and post this question there also.
