So Nuts!

Today I have about 15 minutes to kill and found myself outside of Dress Barn. I have not gone clothes shopping anywhere but Avenue and Lane Bryant, wearing their smallest sizes. I have felt too strange to go into any "normal" store. So I went into Dress Barn. I was looking at the Clearance rack (as always), and I felt this strange guilty feeling that I was not allowed to touch the clothes there -- like I was a criminal! Is that crazy or what?! Finally the saleswoman came over, this elderly woman who was delightful. She encouraged me to try things just for fun, and last I tried on a beautiful, sexy dress -- Size 16. I eyed it, and I couldn't imagine getting into it. But I did. It fit like a glove. The saleswoman said she was going to put it aside for me, and gave me a 20% off coupon that will be good in a few days. I'm soooo tempted to buy it -- anyone having a party? Marla a/k/a "feisty emm"

Marla, Hun congrats on that awesome feeling. Now when I purchase my clothing I buuy cheap since my size has been changing so much lately. Hi Marla, I'm having so much fun buying new clothes. It seems like lately I'm having a shopping party every week but always buying items on sale because within a couple of months they are too big. As an example, I was walking at a local Mall last night to get in some exercise with friends and I ended up buying a pair of clogs. I've wanted clogs for a few years now but couldn't find any that were comfortable or fit. I too was always a Lane Bryant shopper and still do order stuff from their catalogs but I've also been buying clothes at Walmart and Kohls. I'm down to a size 16 and can now walk into almost any store and find something that fits. No more Plus Size only stores. Yeah! Isn't it just wonderful to feel "normal". I haven't bought any dresses yet, but I'll bet that beautiful sexy dress that you put on hold looks just fantastic. I did just order a bathing suit in a 16, can't believe that last year at this time I had to buy a size 28/30 bathing suit (I'm getting ready to go to Florida where I have a timeshare for a week in March).
