WALK WALK WALK is the best remedy! If you had LAP RNY the pain is usually from the gas they use to inflate abdomen to do the surgery, it gets better! Hi, I know what you are going through I still occassional have the back and shoulder pain and bad gas pains and discomfort from the incission areas I had surgery on the 15th. All I can say is that it does get better. Take if your MD says it's ok pepcid 20mg twice a day, they have chewables which are good. Make sure you drink the water. Rest, I put ice packs on my stomach (crushed ice in baggies over a dish towel) this helped my incissional areas. Now I am eating pureed food still have occassional gas pains but nothing like before. Good luck you will be fine and THINNER Barb
