Oh what fun!!!!!

Well what a FUN day I had today!!!!!........ Went shopping with a few girls from work at a local mall. Of course I am still a little gun shy about going in certain stores. Don't ask me why...I guess it's cause I used to walk by those stores and only imagine things fitting me in there. WELL.........one of the girls dragged me in Maurice's. (it's a small size clothing store for those of you who don;t have one near you.) I was so dazed in there, one of the girls from work goes up to one of the workers there and says "hi, my friend here has lost 145 pds. and was afraid to come in and try on your clothes, could you help her?" I was mortified!!! What if there clothes didn't fit me??? So she looks at me up and down and says "hmmmmm you look like a 11/12, here try these jeans on." I picked them up and they looked kinda small, I was worried. So of course my friends are picking out stuff for me to try on, like a fashion show. So I go in the dressing room to try on those jeans. Well, they slid up o.k, no tugging, no jumping up and down......Buttoned up easy......hey there is actually some gappy room in the front and back!!! So I open the door for them to see and every worker in the store plus my friends are standing there waiting.....All at the same time they say "You need a smaller size!!!" I'm thinking I'm a 9/10??? NOOOOOOO......not me!! They bring me in a 9/10 and they are a perfect fit!!! I couldn't believe it!! I am a size 9/10 jeans, my shirts I got today are mediums and I bought a really pretty peacoat at J.C Penny size 12.....I still don't think it has sunk in....I never have wore those sizes.... I'm sure I sound a little excited, sorry....Just can't believe it and wanted to share with all of you. I knew you would appreciate it as much as I do. & Karry 311/167 goal and still going!!!! YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Karry, That is one of my dreams, to go into our " Little size " stores and have the same thing happen. Oh to fit into my Gitano's size 9/10 again, it has been 22 years since then. I still have my favorite outfit stored at my moms house. I would love to put that back on again. Oh and I think it might just be in style again, He He He. Congrats !!! You are sooooo entitled to your excitement. Enjoy it. You are very pretty too. Hey maybe that store might need a model some day. It was just a thought. Hey ya never know. You are funny Shannon.....it's so true though, things that were in style 20 years ago are the "in" thing now. Weird how that happens, huh? As far as me being a model, well I don't look at myself as model material but I will take that as a comliment so thanks!!! Take care! Karry

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! I am pre-op and can't remember not being fat. I am starting out at 308, so I hope I do as well as you. My surgery is scheduled for late December, and I am in the midst of doing all the insurance-required things. Also trying to lose 5% of my weight prior to surgery. My surgeon says my ideal weight is around 139.... can't imagine that... I might have weighed that at age 10... Anyway, keep up the good work!

I soooooo remeber that feeling!!! I was always heavy. I don't ever remember weighing what I do now. Thats kinda sad, but true. Good luck with all your pre-op and surgery in Dec. May your journey be as successful as mine!!! Karry
