pretty new to this
Hi Andrea,
I am am just past four weeks out of surgery. I had RNY -laproscopic on September 28th. I haven't had too many problems either. I find that I am doing well--I do get a little tired when I exert myself, but other than that --I really haven't had any complications.
I am getting back into exercising and I feel that everything is going well.
How are you doing? What foods bother you? Are you able to eat soft foods? Regular foods? Can you eat meat?
Sometimes I read the boards, and I wonder if I am doing things right--other than a few bouts of diarrhea, and a LOT of gas, I haven't felt much different from before I had surgery. I don't get sick. I don't feel faint, I feel very normal.
Actually, I worry that I may have problems in the future --I worry that I will be the one person that this doesn't work for. Even though I have lost 31 lbs. so far.
How about you??

hi marian, im doing ok. i dont have the diarrhea problem just the oppisit. i have my 1st dr's appt on monday so i havent weighed myself yet. but i know i lost. i eat soft foods. like yogert, patotoes, soup. i havent tried meats yet. but i do have that gas problem. so ive been using gas x. it works for a while. i did have a problem with some seafood. i also hope im doing the right thing. i just dont think im getting enough protein. i have my shakes, my soups i order have protein in them. i was wondering if tuna with ff mayo is alright to eat? ive tried egg salad and it kind of sat in my throat. as far as it not working for you that cant happen. it works for every one. 31 lbs in 4 weeks is great. hey we couldnt do that without the surgery right? to tell you the truth i cant believe how quick i bounced back. looking forward to hearing from you
