Hi All, I am having my surgery on Wed. Novemberr 2nd. Any advise for the best foods to have during the first couple of weeks. I am so afraid that I will not know what to eat, although I have a complete list from the dr. Thanks for your replies. Melissa

Melissam Hun congrats on your surgery that is coming up. ~Hugs~ I had some of the following on my pureed foods stage: scrambled egg (I did not take that to well but others have) Cottage Cheese Protein shakes Pureed meats (chicken and fish) natural applesauce Carb Control yogurts Stallone puddings (wish I knew about these when I was on puree foods) s/f Ice Pops s/f puddings (had to make them because pre made had to much sugar alcohols) f/f refried beans with melted cheddar cheese on top I think that might be it... Well best of luck hun ~hugs~ Debra P 285/202.5/125??

My favorite puree food at that stage and i ate it alot was: low fat ricotta cheese, lo fat mozzerella cheese some red sauce and microwaved it...was my noodless LASAGNA! LOVED IT... i also made chicken salad with finely chopping everything in an electric chopper by black and decker! GOOD LUCK i also pureed soups...a good one was broccoli and cheddar by cambells i blended out the chunks and it was a good meal at that stage. GOOD LUCK! AND i know you will do fine your surgery day is my sons birthday! BEST wishes for a speedy recovery LISA
