Roll Call ( sex question)
Hi Christine,
This is great topic. First congrats on your weightloss. You are doing great. I am still pre-op, so this is not coming from a post-op experience. I have not always been heavy, so I do remember sex with my husband at a normal size.
My DH was diagnosed with prostate cancer 3 years ago and had a radical prostatectomy at the age of 46. I don't need to tell you how this has affected our lovemaking. I am hoping that with weightloss it will make our lovemaking easier and perhaps it will turn up his libido a bit. So for me my dear friends, being able to have any sex would be a great thing for me.
Christine, I'm not sure how I'm going to feel after surgery. Perhaps some of the comments made by others are correct that your issues are deeper. If you experience lack of desire perhaps you could speak to your gyn doctor. Sometimes women have some hormone imbalances that once corrected the desire returns.
Thanks for a great topic. Debra
Thanks for sharing your hubby ordeal and yours you are still young so you have plenty more years to enjoy, I'm sure you will be getting more after your surgery, and if his libido doesn't change there is aways viagra....
I have gotten alot from this post and I will be seeing my doctor about a hormone test.....thanks....
We are here waiting for you to join us on the losing side....soon your big day will be here...

Hey Christine.......
I thought I could comment on this. I have not had surgery yet as you know. At my current weight I am extremely sexual. I am trying to get up in there every chance I get.......LOL ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/lol.gif)
As a matter of fact, I look foward to the day when I am not carrying all this weight on me, cause, OH BOY, the positions I wanna try........![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/lol.gif)
I don't mean to sound like a perv, I just feel like everyone's different in their own way. Some people enjoy the crap outta sex and some of us just don't. Also, always keep in mind that your significant other has always loved you big and small. You will be alright girl.......Just gotta release the freak in you..........LOL LOL........We all got one in us........
Talk to you soon girl.......

Hi Christine,
I'm just 8 days pre-op but I've been wondering about this very topic myself. If you go to the "Main Entrance" link at the top of you OH page, a column/pick-list shows on the right side of the page entitled "FORUMS". Click the arrow to see the entire pick-list. Almost all the way at the bottom is one called "WLS - Related Issues" with a sub-topic of "Sex, pre and post-op". I found this both interesting and entertaining and didn't even know such a thing was there until I stumbled across it last evening by accident. You might find something in there that might help.
Best of luck to you!
Eileen
