Almost had a conniption!!!!!
Well I almost had a conniption (what is that anyway? LOL) at the cardiologists yesterday! 
I took a vacation day from work, since my bosses know nothing about my plans for surgery...first I went to the Pulmonary dr for his tests, then get to the cardiologist. Now, in my mind I am thinking this is the 2nd to last of the pre-tests, Sat is the psych and thats it and I can get my surgery date....well they do the EKG, then the cardiologist tells me I can go ahead and schedule the nuclear stress test! I was like whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhat???!!?!?!? I almost burst into tears. I explained to her that I took this day off to get everything completed and I want to get my surgery date this coming week! I'm quite sure my blood pressured zoomed right up. I was prepared for the stress test right there and then and for her to tell me I can come back another day for the stress test...NO! NO! NO! She said it was a 3 hr 1/2 test...blah blah blah.... 
Anyway...after 5 mins arguing with her 
and she could clearly see how upset I was and anxious for the surgery, she gave me a stress echo and that was it. Done. All AOK. Not sure why she didnt do this in the first place but after being poked at and stuck with needles twice for the IV, I was now a happy camper! 
So today I go back to the psych (she requires 2 appts) and then DONE!!! YAY!!! I will call my surgeons office Tues to followup and hopefully be able to get my date by Wed (my birthday!!!) woo! That will be a great gift to me!

Wow....I'm surprised they did it right there...my cardiologist made me come back twice. I think besides the endoscopy, I least liked the nuclear stress test. I was so drained after it, and then I had to go back to work.
So, we are neighbors. Did you go to DP high school? I grew up here also.
I know what you mean by getting the tests done with.....I had my endoscopy last month and they found an ulcer...so I found out I would have to take medication for a month and then re-scope...I was soooo bummed, but in good time it all works out.
