Help, pain in my side
Gabby...
I am getting the band too! I have heard that it does take some time for the pain of surgery to go away. Your probably feeling it from the anestesia. It sounds like gas the way your describing it...going from the side to your back. Check with your doctors office, but some Gas X and a heating pad may do the trick....Also walk as much as you can. It will help dispell some of that gas thats trapped in there. Your body just underwent a major invasion! It is going to be sore....If your really concerned absolutely go to your doctor...however you need rest, and to take your time to heal...no housework, heavy lifting, picking up children...you gotta heal. You have had surgery before you said, any of it laporospic? Was your band done laparoscopy? From what I understand they have to inflate your stomach cavity with some sort of gas for laporospic surgery so that your organs are distinguishable...maybe that is why this is diffrent than any of your other surgeries...
Well, I hope this has been helpful. If you don't find comfort with the walking and heating pad, contact your doctor.
I will talk to you soon!
Nice to meet you!
Hope
PS Who did your surgery? Mine is Dr Kwon in Port Jervis NY
Yes, It was laproscopic. I've had other surgeries done the same way but I always felt the pressure in my chest, never in my side. But I took some Gasx today and am on my way out the door for a walk. Thank you for answering my question.
I had my surgery done by Dr Edward Yatco in Valhalla which is close to me in Westchester. Really nice guy and a great office thank god.
