Hi: I joined the AMOS website many months ago when I first started my journey towards WLS. My profile is very minimal, as I didn't want to get too involved in all of this just to have my hopes and dreams crushed if I was not approved for surgery by my Ins. Co. PLUS, even though we are all in the same boat... I still have issues discussing my weight and the impact it has had on my life. "If I don't discuss it - it's not real" kinda thing. At this point - I have gone though all the needed testing and my paperwork was submitted for approval almost two weeks ago.... I still have not heard ANYTHING. I have Horizon Healthcare PPO... has anyone else had any experience with this company? The longer you wait for an answer.... does that mean the better it looks for your approval?? I am not sure what to expect. I have a tentative surgery date scheduled for 5/13/05 ONLY if I am approved. Any feedback or advice??? I would appreciate any "words of wisdom" you may have to share. Thanks -D

Hello Welcome! I do not have any knowledge about your insurance company, but I would call them to make sure they have received everything they need. I know how difficult it is to wait, which is something I do not do very well. I have discovered that all things come in due time. We will all keep our fingers crossed for you (when we are not typing). Good luck to you and may your surgery be uneventful and your recovery speedy. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Brenda
