Waiting for approval reply from Ins. Co......

Hi: I joined the AMOS website many months ago when I first started my journey towards WLS. My profile is very minimal, as I didn't want to get too involved in all of this just to have my hopes and dreams crushed if I was not approved for surgery by my Ins. Co. PLUS, even though we are all in the same boat... I still have issues discussing my weight and the impact it has had on my life. "If I don't discuss it - it's not real" kinda thing. At this point - I have gone though all the needed testing and my paperwork was submitted for approval almost two weeks ago.... I still have not heard ANYTHING. I have Horizon Healthcare PPO... has anyone else had any experience with this company? The longer you wait for an answer.... does that mean the better it looks for your approval?? I am not sure what to expect. I have a tentative surgery date scheduled for 5/13/05 ONLY if I am approved. Any feedback or advice??? I would appreciate any "words of wisdom" you may have to share. Hello I just wanted to pop by to say HI I do not have the same ins that you do so sorry no words of advice except keep positive, and try not to think about it too much, ( I know who am i kidding, I have a hard time with that one.) Hello Welcome! I do not have any knowledge about your insurance company, but I would call them to make sure they have received everything they need. I know how difficult it is to wait, which is something I do not do very well. I have discovered that all things come in due time.
