Just alittle excited..

Hello everyone, i am very new on here and i have been reading all the successful and fantastic stories, and i just cant wait to be one of the "losers" too... I do have a surgery date, but dont know if i am approved from the insurance yet. I dont see how i cant be.. But thats all i am waiting for... Wish me Luck...

Rose Marie, Hun I am waiting on a date as well but it takes a little longer to get the Ins Approval. I know my Dr gets the date and then works on getting the Ins Approved. He said it can almost come down to the day before.... What a roller coaster ride huh.... Well I wish you luck hun and keep breathing, we both should be doing fine..... Take care Debra P

Debra, thanks for the spirit uplifting.. i am so afraid that i wont be approved. But i pray everyday, and i just cant wait to start my life over. Can i ask you a question? Did ur doctor put u on a diet? Mine did .. well actually my nutritionist did. she put me on 3 protein drinks and 1 meal day until the surgery. Does that sound weird to you?

Rose Marie, Yes I pray every day as well hun..... The Dr did not put me on a diet, just the clear liquid the day before surgery but I have seen so many have to before surgery so every surgeon is different. I know that losing weight before the surgery shrinks your liver so it help when they get in there.... Good luck, Debra P

I was on 2 low carb Slim Fast and one low carb meal a day for 2 weeks before my surgery. My doctor said he does this so the liver will shrink and make the chances of knicking the liver during surgery much less.

Congratulations!! I know you must be walking on Cloud 9 right now! It is the most exciting thing to receive that call saying you are approved! Good luck and keep us informed on your progress!!

Hi RoseMarie, I am also fairly new here, but as I do, you will feel very welcome. I also had a pre-surgery diet. I was on 5 protien shakes a day, with clear fluids only.
