HELP!!! Need a Dress....

Hi everyone... my cousin is getting married the middle of may, and it's going to be a black tie affair... I need to buy a dress and have no idea where to start looking... I'm only 29 and all past experiances, I can never find something that is age appropriate, I always find stuff that my mother would wear.. no offense to anyone... Everytime I have to buy a fancy dress I get really aggrevated and depressed because I can never find anything and end up not going.... but since it's my cousin, I cant delcine invite...Does anyone know where I could find something nice and affordable? At this point, just nice, couldnt care less about the $ right now.... I live in suffolk county, nassau border... I would appreciate any help! Gia

Yes definately try Estelle's Dressy Dresses on Rte 110 Farmingdale. They have tons of fancy dresses all sizes and at good prices. You could also try Macy's, I got a nice fancy black dress there for a wedding I went to. Also Dress Barn Woman has some dresses also. Gia, I forgot to say that the big Macys in NYC has a whole department of fancy dresses and pants suits for plus sizes. I bought a nice black dress and a nice black pants suit there for events I went to. I'm sure you will be able to find something. I also found a place on Montauk Hwy in Merrick that carried formal dresses in plus sizes..."Chwatsky Woman Too" I think was the name. I did some research last year when I had a few functions to go to. But I would start with Estelles first. Good luck! -Dee

Gia Estells really has some nice stuff but if you don't want to buy anything this might sound silly but I have beautiful gown that I only wore once and I was looking to get rid of it but hate to throw it out since it cost me $350.00. I'm not sure what size you are but I believe it is a size 26 and it's really pretty I was the maid of honor for my sisters wedding 2 years ago and now that dress is like a tent on me since I lost 100lbs. go to syms on motor parkway its the best for all kinds of clothing all prices.... also try torrid in the mall not sure if they have dressy dresses but you can give it a shot and last but not least try estelles..... Stacy
