Hey eveyone, got home on Saturday. Everything went well, no problemms. Felt like in the hospital and the same at home. I had alot of pain in hospital, thank god for PCA. No pain anymore, just a great soreness across my upper abdomen. I cant bend down or put my socks on. My doc says this is all normal but now he says my recovery stage is over and now it is time to suck it up (not exactly those words) and move on. Drink fluids and walk. I am doing both but am so tired. I am up for an hour or two and then sleep for two. Doc says no more sleeping..only at night. I cant help it i am sooooo exhausted. Beth

Glad to hear everything went well. I too was tired and still am, only 2 weeks post op today. But it does get better. My afternoon naps have not been needed as much. Once I started my chewable vitamin 2 times a day, which was a week post op, I started feeling better. Also I sipped on the Carnation Instant Breakfast (on ice) throughout the day and it made me feel better then apple juice. Walking is very important.....Try to walk as much as possible, it will make you feel better!
