Any Support Groups on LI?

Hi All, I'm two weeks post op and looking for a support group closer to home. I live in Suffolk County....anyone know the location of a good group? Please send me time, place, etc. I remember hearing there's a meeting at Good Samaritan Hospital but I'm not sure when the next one is....thanks Deb

Jane, is there a train station anywhere near there? I'd love to come myself, but I'm coming from Nassau (Hempstead). Any train station, or any public transportation, in the area?

Hi Barry...you can take the LIRR to the Babylon train station and I know there is a bus from the station that does stop in front of the hospital Jane

Can anyone come to these meetings??? My doctor has support meetings but they arent at a very convient time or area for me. Good Sam would be PERFECT!!

yes anyone can come to the meetings. I have to say I love these meetings. We have a great bunch of people at these meeting with both RNY and the lap band surgeries. Dawn
