Hi Stephanie! I am a teacher so therefore I get deathly sick every year. However, I have tried something different this year and it is working wonders (knock on wood). I wash my hands non-stop. I also disinfect door knobs, levers on toilets, or anything that you wouldn't even think about that is very germy. Also, I try to drink orange juice a lot and I take the herb Echinechea when I am getting sick but you can take it now to help boost the immune system. Good luck! Terri

Stephanie, You can get it at most RX stores, I get mine at Rite Aid. It works best if you take it right when you feel a cold/flu then after you already have it but it still lessens the length and how bad you feel for sure. It is in a white box with orange and yellow stripes above and below the name. You will find it most likely in the herbal med section, that is where Rite Aid has it anyways. They are small tubes and you take and inside each tube is these really, really small beads. Rather cool I think but I was a lil scared at first..... Works great though.....Just have it just in case....~crosses her fingers~ next week huh? How are you feeling? I am hoping to have my surgery some time in May/June and I just can not wait but still so nervous..... Take care Debra

Debra, Thankyou so much for the tip, I was just looking it up online and found a whole bunch of other helpful tips for differant things. alternativehealth.lifetips.com/cat/55807/a-flurry-of-facts/index.html Theres the site if you or anyone else is interested. I know people say that if you think you will get sick then you will. I am trying my best to stay positive about it. I think I am just more paranoid then anything. Yes my surgery is next week! Yesterday I went for my pre admission testing and pre op testing. When I talked to Dr. Cole my surgeon, he made me feel so much better. I told him I am SOO nervous about being put to sleep and he told me to just tell the anastesiologist and he/she will give me something. I felt so much better when I talked to him. He is truly a wonderful doctor and I feel like he really cares about me. So thats whats going on with me. How are you feeling?
