24 hours to go, woke up this morning, and I am ready to scream...
...because I woke up with my !@#@!@#! nose all stuffed up!!! Why, God, did I have to get a miserable !@#@!#!@ cold now?
I KNOW I have to let my surgeon know about this. And I KNOW they're going to postpone when they hear about it. And I KNOW when I hear that I'm going to want to punch a wall. I'm just so frustrated...between what happened the last time I went for surgery, and now this...maybe it isn't meant for me. Who knows.

Barry,
I am so sorry you are having such a crazy time trying to get this surgery done...~hug~ I would recommend some Oscillo****ium, it is a herbal cold aid but I am not sure if it will kick it at this stage but it might be worth the try. You really should take it as soon as you have symptoms but hey if it works so be it......
Well Barry I hope you are feeling better soon and on your way to surgery......
Take care
Debra
Barry, don't set yourself up. This is the time of year for colds. You've waited this long, what's a week or two? Call your doctor before you really work yourself into a tizzy. If you just have a non-infectious headcold or allergy situation, he may just proceed. To quote you, "Who knows?"
Good luck, Barry - and God bless
Oh Barry, I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. It seems you get close and you start getting happy and someone slips the rug out from under you. Yesterday I went for my preop testing. I was worried that I had gained weight and they would have told me to postpone until I started losing again. But I got on the scale and I was down 3 lbs. so I was so happy and really starting to do a happy dance because I figured that I would breeze through the prop tests. Well, what do you know, someone finally reads my ekg that I had back in June and says, did you know you had a borderline ekg? We better add that to your preop tests today. So I did another one and it came back borderline too. Now I sit here and wait for the cardiologist to read it and see if I can go through with the surgery. I started thinking the same thing.....is someone trying to tell me something?
Hang in there buddy....it will happen....for both of us.
Barry:
I was sorry to hear what happened to you. The good thing is you have a reschedule date.
My surgery was scheduled for 3/17 and on 3/14 the insurance requested more information whi*****ludes 3 months supervised program prior to surgery. My surgery is cancelled indefinitely and if I cannot come up with 3 months consecutive over the last 2 years, then I have to wait 6 months.
May your surgery be uneventful and your recovery speedy.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Brenda
