RESPONSES TO WEIGHT LOSS NOT GOING TOO GOOD!

I just need to vent. Everyone seems to have liked the BIG me (in terms of appearance). My parents are saying that I am getting too small and want me to stop losing. Others have been complimenting me but with a look on their face like -what's going on with you. I even had someone ask me if I was okay. I guess yesterday the icing got put on the cake (no pun intended) when I ran into a guy that met me when I was at my heaviest 245lbs and he says "Oh, I see you've lost weight" "I liked you better the other way when I first met you". Not that I like him or want to be with him in anyway, but I feel his response is a sign of other similar comments to come from others. I've literally been avoiding big functions with those I haven't seen in a while to avoid questions and attention (good or bad). Meanwhile, my mind hasn't yet caught up with my body because I still think I'm huge, but I know I have to work on that. I know these people aren't jealous because it's definitely not just females or any overweight people that are coming at me with the "you're getting too small" and "don't get too skinny you won't look right". It's annoying. Just wanted to vent. Thanks.

Hi Candie Sorry to hear the bs you have to listen to, but just remember you had wls for you not anyone else....and that is your focus point...you are not pleasing anyone but you and you are the only one who was traped inside your body at 245lbs.....no one and I mean no one knows what is was like walking in your shoes...now you are making a difference for yourself to really start living instead of watching you will now have a more active lifestyle and you should be proud of what you have done for yourself.....you know it was always said the fat lady is the life of the party, but at who's expense... Never mind what anyone says to you, you just continue in your journey to a healthier and happier lifestyle... Wishing you all the best... Christine

Candie, Peoples reactions to weight loss are so different. I think the most important thing should be is how you feel about your weight loss. I am sure you look great. As for still feeling big, it takes time for your head to catch up to your body i guess. Best of luck Nicole -190
