I'm Approved!!
HOLY SOX!! Only 10 days after my surgeon visit, I was approved by my HMO!!! I started the process on Jan. 17th, my BD. Got an office visit and an approval in 6 weeks. I am awed. God sure must be speeding thing up for me on purpose. HOLY SOX!! Don't have a date yet, but if I have a choice, I'll aiming for June when I'm done teaching for the school year. I wonder if the surgeon's office will call Monday???

My theory is that my HMO is sick of my hospital bills. 2004 was a health challenge for me (and my family). I almost died twice from low potassium (bad reaction to water pills) and have seen every specialist and had every test there is. Kidney specialist told me it all boiled down to being morbidly obese. No wonder they approved so quickly, it was in their financial interest!!!
