are there any support groups in southern dutchess county??

I am just starting on my WLS journey and was looking for some support groups alittle closer to home. Does anyone live in Dutchess county. Thanks Andrea

Hi Andrea, I live in Cortlandt Manor (Westchester) but I go to the city for my support group once a month. Also, Evelyn L in Harrison just started a group from her house once a month so maybe she can tell you more about it. Her next meeting is Saturday 3/18/05. Hugs, Presh in NY

I'm also from Cortlandt Manor and I go to my dr's office in Valhalla for my support group meetings. The only other ones that I've heard of is in Middletown or Rhinebeck. Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck, NY. Surgical Weight Loss Support Group. For those who have gone through weight loss surgery or those considering the procedure. The group meets the 1st Tuesday of each month, 7:00-8:00pm. For information or to register, call (845) 871-3600 Kingston Hospital, Kingston, NY. Mid-Hudson Weight Loss Surgery Peer Support Group. Andrea.....I was (and still am) going to submit a post after reading for a while. There IS a NEW support group starting up and infact the first meeting with be THURSDAY, MARCH 17 (bring the cabbage!! lol) at St. Francis Hospital @ 7:00 p.m. For now those are all the details I have, I will be calling to find out the exact location.
