Awake for breathing tube - concern
I am scheduled for surgery March 16th, which I am very excited about, however, when I was in for a minor procedure on Friday, I was told that because I had a short neck I would need to be awake when they put the breathing tube in for the gastric bypass surgery. While I am sure they will give me something to calm me, the thought is not very appealing to me and has caused me extra worry. Any body else have that problem or any words of wisdom for me?
