Hi all, I am active on the CT boards as that is where I reside. Due to my complications, I am trying to find a surgeon who can handle type 1 Diabetes and WLS and have been given the names of Dr. Daniel Herron and Dr. Ren. If you have had an experience with either, I would appreciate some feedback. I have no idea about either of them. Thanks in advance, Nancy K in CT

Dr. Kaul & the other members of his group in Valhalla, NY (westchester) are VERY good. Pull 'em up in the dr search. I think you'll be impressed. Dr. Kaul did my surgery along iwht one of his associates. I was borderline diabetic at the time and had been for many years, however I've talked with a number of patients in their office while waiting to be seen who were insulin dependents, some for many, many years. I've yet to speak to anyone who wasn't completely thrilled with the care they received from any of the surgeons in that group. Myself, by my 3 mo bloodwork follow up and ever since, my blood sugar has been WONDERFUL! In fact, it was actually a little low once, but I've been able to adjust that with diet. Best of luck to you on your continued journey. Keep us posted! Kay C. lap rny 6/30/03 - 118 lbs
