Want to Share the News
Hello my AMOS friends,
I just want to tell you about a great store I found yesterday. The store is called The Diet Shop. There are 2 location: one in West Islip and one in Ronkonkoma. The stores are owned by a very nice woman named Marilyn Bruno.
Marilyn carried a wide variety of low carb, high protein products that we as pre-op and/or post op patients can eat or drink. I was at the store yesterday and purchased the AchieveOne latte protein drinks that taste like Starbuck's frappuccino. Prior to finding it at Marilyn's store, I could only purchase it online at Bariatriceating.com. Purchasing it locally will save us the shipping costs. There are also other products at Marilyn's store such as the DaVinci sugar free flavored syrups, Steele's sugar free pie fillings, sugar free maccaroons and Almond Flour for baking. In addition to these great products, Marilyn also told me about high protein waffles, bread and bagels that are all low in carbs.
The thing about Marilyn's store that is so great is she lets you taste a lot of the products that you may be interested in buying. she gave me samples of the bagel, sugar free syrup, AchieveOne protein, sugar free jelly, sugar free mousse and sugar free maccaroons.
I am not trying to push any store, products or take business away from anyone else, but wanted to share this information with you so you can find products you may be interested in and save on shipping costs from internet stores.
For more information about the stores and the phone numbers, here is the link to the store: www.thedietshop.biz.
Thank you all for accepting my information. I hope this information helps you.

You both look MARVELOUS, as Billy Crystal would say!
Since this store is so close to me in Ronkonkoma, I should check it out. Can you tell me exactly where it is in Ronkonkoma? Will let you know what goodies I find when I go. Probably won't be until next week because I am still sick with this stupid cold and now I have laryngitis (sp?)
Talk to you both soon! Jackie--maybe we will see you at our next monthly meeting at Southside?
Hugs
Marianne
Hi Marianne,
Thank you so much for the compliment. You look great also! Maybe I could meet you at the store to say hello since we are so close. I can give you my phone number in an e-mail if you'd like to talk.
The store in on Portion Road. It is in the Blockbuster shopping center across from the Waldbaums shopping center and Regal Cinema movies.
Is the only support group on Monday night? Is there one on Thursday?
I used to go to the meetings Saturday morning, but my husband works on the weekends early in the morning now and I can't get to the meetings. I don't think it would be nice to bring my 3 year old with me.
