ideal body weight ?

i'm 5'4 1/2 and weight 227 does anyone know what my ideal weight is supposed to be ? i want to know if i'm 100lbs over.

I was not technically 100 lbs overweight but I had a BMI over 40. Are you sure you are 5' 4"? I had always thought I was 5' 2" but my doctor had measured me at 5'1" so that helped me a bit as I was borderline also. I was actually 212 when I decided to pursue the surgery so I decided to gain some weight to qualify - I would have gotten there without trying anyway. I gained 11 lbs (hey - I was a professional weight gainer ) any my highest weight was 223. The surgeon required some weight loss prior to surgery and I had gotten down to 215 by day of surgery. The surgeons office checked my BMI to make sure I still qualified and at 5'1" I did, but if they had me measured at 5'2" I might have had a problem because I would have been under 40 BMI.

did you try going under a dr of your choise and enter the bmi part i know i did and it said i maybe able to have the surgery to bad i allready did lol i,m still big boned and will always be i guess im 221 my goal from my dr is 210 ,but i was feeling bad til i put in my skinny husbands numbers and he wears a 32 pants and they said he was overwieght and i was obeast so i know they are a little off ! i would ask you dr.s good luck kelly
