endocrinologist ??

Hello everyone, I am new here but hoping to be on the losing side by the end of feb. I will find out if that is possible this friday. Wish me luck. I hope i dont lose too much hair If you have hypothyroid but it is under control, do you still need to see an endocrinologist before WLS? Pam

Pam- I believe it will be up to your surgeon and PCP. I have hypo but it is pretty controlled. My PCP keeps track of it and I did not have to see the endo before surgery. Ask your surgeon and PCP what they think. Good luck!!! Janet

Pamela, My surgeon accepted my PCP bloodwork and letter that all is ok with it. I would check with your surgeon and see....... Debra
