Diabetes Warning Signs
Alice's post about her niece made me think about Diabetes. My six year old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in November. The only change in his behavior was a severe thirst, for about a week or two. My pediatrican was stunned, because he had just examined him a week or two before. He humored me and signed a script for testing, then called me a few days later and told me to bring him to the ER. My son's blood sugar level was 691! He was admitted to the hospital for four days.
So the moral of the story is, if you suspect something's wrong with yourself or a loved one follow through and don't let anyone intimidate you.
The symptoms for diabetes can be very subtle. The symptoms of high blood pressure are invisble for many people.
