CANT WAIT FOR FOOD
I can remember when I wanted to eat something that had a crunch to eat. But I settle for my first egg and cheese omelet. Boy it did taste good till out 5 minutes later and then I got sick from it. I never got a chance to fini**** But then again the next morning I tried it again and it was great.
I'm eight months post-opt and I still can't tolerate any meats. No matter how I fix them. But make sure you get you protein drinks and foods down. It is so important. Right now I'm am having a hard time getting enough protein and I'm paying dearly for it. My legs, feet, hands and arms are swelling up like a balloon and I went to see a specialist last week and he said I don't have any proteins in my muscles. So it is so important that you make sure to get them. I do eat a lot of diary, eggs and vegetables and I drink the sugar free carnation instant breakfast drinks daily. If I could eat meat it would help. But for now it isn't a option. Good luck Sandy
Hi Gloria
I know how you feel. My doctor had me on full liquids for 4 weeks and during that time the head hunger was driving me nuts
Finally when I went to the soft foods, most of them made me sick. My pouch could not tolerate much
However, I made it through and I have no regrets.
Wishing you all the best as you continue this journey.
Glenda
