Hi Mery, I'm 3 weeks out, and not getting anywhere near the protein I'm supposed to. I'm trying to eat more cheese or protein shakes, but so far, it's not enough....1 or 2 oz. of protein shake and I'm full...1/2 a low-fat cheese stick, same........not that I mind feeling full,, but I worry too about the nutrition I'm not getting....... Mery, Hi and welcome to the losing side. You are post-op so make sure you get your liquids in. I did not start protein for 3 weeks post-op. Every Dr is different with their requirements. I discovered a great protein powder by the Vitamin shoppe called Body Tech Whey Protein. It is in a cannister and tastes yummy. It is not thick like the rest of the protein drinks. Try it..... Good Luck.Lorraine
