Okay I DUMPED
Short and simple (not sweet) last night I ate a piece of cod fish (small piece) after chewing I swallowed. I mean this is something that I believe I've mastered over the years (chew, breathe, swallow) no, no, no, immediately after swallowing I knew it was headed back up the pipes.
Only thing it doesnt happen that fast......... First there's a ten-fifteen minute wait where your overcome with waves of nausea and just spitting up really loose phelgm.
Then the fun starts!!!!! and oh boy I mean fun...... Okay enough of grossing you out. It lasted all night. The fish has been long gone but my tummy is still offended and continues to remind me every twenty minutes or so by grumbling!!!!!!! Oh and by the way I've already hurled four times this morning. Yeah sounds like it's going to be one of those days.
Oh well,
Peace and Blessings,
Marcia

There are "bad pouch days" and "good pouch days" - you're not terribly far out yet post op, so depending on what your surgeon has you on for a diet, you might not get a whole lot of variety... Try going back a few steps/stages to softer mushier foods until pouchie calms back down..
Unfortunately, until you can get it back up, the loose phlegm is all part of the 'game' and even this "far" post op it can still 'getcha' if you do something you know you shouldn't or that pouchie doesn't like...
I will admit that it's much harder to get stuff back up VOLUNTARILY now (in general) than it was earlier post op.. But when it's coming back one way or another, and there's not any room for discussion, then watch out and clear a path
Good luck, and hang in there!

Cod is a fish that has alot of oil naturally in its body so maybe it was just too oily for you
