INDEPENDENT HEALTH INSURANCE

HAS ANYONE OUT THERE BEEN DENIED BY THIS INSURANCE. AFTER ALL THE DR.'S SAID YES FOR SURGERY. THANKS DEBBIE

The Surgeon I had put the referal in for was denied. They told me that I had to use Dr. Alan Posner of Buffalo, NY. I am in the process right now of waiting for there reply for this surgeon.

Yep - IH will not approve for Dr. Caruana. Dr. Posner only does laparoscopic. I had gone through the entire process with Dr. Caruana because I had COBRA'd my Blue Cross and when i subsequently got a new job, they had IH. It almost cost me my surgery because they decided that I had two carriers.
