Just stopping through to give an update on my newest angelette, Marjorie-Martine Allard. Martine had open-RNY distal surgery this morning at St. Lukes hospital and is now resting in recovery and doing fine. I know they asked her to be at the hospital at 6:00am so we all assumed she would be first. However I was calling and calling that hospital from noon to about 2:45 to be told that she is in the O/R. I justed called back at 3:40pm to be told that she is resting in Recovery. I hope they just got their systems backed up and that Martine didn't "booted back" on the surgery list. Anyway, I will most like contact her mom this evening to get any available details and report back. Let's show Martine some love on her surgery page! Thanks.......

I am on the phone with Martine as we speak..... She had a very um...significant experience with the surgery. She had open RNY distal surgery and is not used to any real pain at all so this was quite a lot for her deal with. She says her pain tolerance is not high and she was in a lot of pain yesterday. She is off the morphine pump and on oral percoset - but she said she is mad at all of us for not telling her how much pain she was going to be in. (But she said it jokingly - but you know some of us just MAY get cussed out ) You know we all go through different experiences with this surgery but it is NO JOKE! However, still with the difficulties of the actual surgery, she is still doing very well and has no regrets. She still has her sense of humor and her bubbly personality!!! I love this girl!
