hello i am not such a happy camper this evening becaus i just found out that my pre-op EKG came back abnormal and i have to go in to see whats wrong they didnt tell me anything just that i have to have a cardial work up but the thing is that my surgery is tue the 26 so i called the office and talked to diane and she went to talk to dr o mally and he said if he didnt get the results back by fri he was changing my surgery date to ??? so my dr pulled some strings to get me in to see dr pudusseri at clifton spings hosp on fri at 10:30...so why isn't fri LOL .... so my question is has any one had an abnormal EKG? kate (fizzy)

yip.. I did, my heart was shunting blood between the left and right atriums, however it did not effect my surgery, just had me very paranoid. All worked out in the end, I had to do another who lot of tests before I got cleared tho. ANyway Good Luck Lee

Hay Kate; Try to relax (I know it is very hard). Abnormal EKG's can be something as simple as skipping a beat because you had too much caffiene. Try to relax because the more nervious you are it can affect your EKG's too. Most abnormal EKG's are something simple and you will probably keep your surgery date. Just make sure the cardiologist calls Dr. O immedietely!! If you need anything let me know. Kathi
