Hi I've been away for the summer and I have a question to ask you.. I had surgery a year and a half ago and have lost 150lbs... in the last few months I've had alot of pressure and pain in my upper abdomin...the pain gets so bad that it wakes me up at night. I think its gas and even thou I've been told no carbonation I am drinking diet ginger ale which seems to help. I get the pain whether I eat or not.. I know I should call the doc but I'd like to avoid going to see him since he's so far away....and if I can take care of it from here. Anyone else have this kind of problem? Hugs Bonnie

Hi Bonnie, I think you should call your doctor. I also think the pain you are discribing could be gallbladder. 150 pounds!!! WOW WOW WOW WOW! Congratulations to you! Please call your doctor! Lisa

Lisa I forgot to mention, I don't have my gallbladder..it was taken out in 85. I guess even more reason to call the doc. I will tomorrow. Thanks for the reply. Yea 150lbs...I hit my goal weight and am now bouncing up and down 5lbs. My new excitment is that now when I cut back on my food I can actually loose a few pounds, where before surgery if I cut back I gained....its a miracle Hugs Bonnie

Hi Bonnie! Congratulations on your weight loss! Inspiring!!! I'd call your doc...sounds like maybe gastritis or an ulcer to me....no fun. Feel better! Claudia

Claudia Thanks for getting back to me...I just called my GP and the surgeon. I never thought of an ulcer or gastritis. I'm waiting for the surgeon's office to call me back but I'm going to start at my GP's. No matter what happens I've lost 150lbs and I'd do this again in a heartbeat....I've had alot of problems from this but it is still all worth it... When I had surgery I wound up in ICU due to a blood pressure problem. My health was so bad going into surgery that I was a surgical risk. Then, my incision herniated and I had to have that removed...now this. I don't want to go back in for any more, but I don't think I have choice right now....I don't like all of this but I don't regret for one second having the surgery. Even with all these things happening to me, my health is the best its been in years...and I am back to the way I was in HS.... I'll keep you posted Hugs Bonnie
