Just beginning to consider surgery

Hello everyone. My mother had the surgery in March of this year and has lost 155 lbs. She looks amazing! My dear friend, Shirlene, is scheduled for tomorrow. I have several health problems that although do not prohibit the surgery, they do make it more difficult. Can anyone recommend a really good surgeon and hospital in Upstate NY? My lung doctor has suggested that I first look into laparascopy surgery. Anyone with comments or experiences (good and bad)? Thanks!!

Shannon, Where in upstate do you mean? My surgeon is located in Ithaca. Not only is his staff wonderful but it was a great expierence at the hospital as well. I had my surgery on May 18th and my friend is scheduled for Nov 2 with the same doctor. If you have any questions feel free to email me. Teri
