??? Dr. Lanzafame ???

Anybody ever heard of Dr. Lanzafame? If so, what do you know? Good or bad? Please let me know. Considering her for my surgeon.

Jennifer- I do not know anyone who has had surgery done by her. She is still relatively new to the area (maybe a year or two). I do know someone who goes to the support group in Farmington and that Dr came to speak and she was liked by my friend. You may want to ask I think her name is Joanne Donaldson. She has a profile on OH. She runs the support group in Farmington, and so she may have more info for ya. Good luck!!!!! Janet

hello jennifer my name is kate and i have heard of dr lanzafame... she is from the cliffton springs hospital and i have meet some people that have had surgery with her she is new to our area and she came in jan of this year i dont know a whole lot about her back round but i think they say she came from some where in the west... i go to dr omally from highland hospital.. i go for my surgery on the 26 of this month and my friend michelle will have hers done on the 25 the day befor ... i started this in nov of 03 and she started this i think in june... 04 she dont have the wait but we are just starting to learn about her not to scare you but the hospital stoped her for a little bit in till they had a onther doc come and watch over her because she had some problems bbut he gave her the go ahead.. it happened to be my dr that over seen her ... the also trained dr boss out of highland ... so he dont have a very long waiting list ... they call doc omally the genius of this surgery... i go to both support groups the one at parkrideg hospital and the one at farmington they also have one at clifton spring hosp. for lanzafame... you are welcome to come to all of the support grops and get all the info you can so you can make a decision...kate hope i could help and not make it worse ..

Kate, You didn't make anything worse. I thank you for the suggestion of attending both support groups and the info about Dr. Lanzafame. I think I might call Dr. O'Malley's office and see if I can talk to Dr. O'Malley or Dr. Boss and see if they will tell me anything about the issues with Dr. Lanzafame, and if they were comfortable with their decision when they gave her the go ahead. Jennifer, I am a patient of Dr. Lanzafames. I will be having surgery on Monday, Oct. 25th. I do not have any problems with her. I like her very much and am comfortable with her.( I do know of someone who did have issues though.) Any other questions let me know, Michelle
