COUGH SYRUP???

Hey everyone I feel like im getting a cold .... and i have a cough.... i used to take Nyquil before surgery. I was wondering is it still ok to take. If not Nyquil what other cough syrups are good? THanks Nicole -143

Hi Nicole, I would think Nyquil wouldn't be a good choice because of the sugar and alcohol content. What about a cold pill instead. I agree you should call your surgeon if you really are uncertain. Also, I told someone else last week - Robitussin does make a sugar-free formula (tastes nasty but.....) Patti

I called my doc and he told me I could take Robitusson but to dilute it w/ water and it worked. Hope this helps. Evelyn
