Dr. Joseph Caruana
I had my WLS with Dr. Caruana 3 weeks ago. I have never had such a great experience with a Doctor and his assistants. They (although VERY busy) Take good care of their patents and make you feel comfortable. I have had great results losing 30lbs in 3 weeks so far. They are on call 24/7 if you have any problems. It is a full service facility they run, a cafe selling healthy foods to patents and those who are working out at the exercise facility that was made special and has personal trainers there to work with ppl who have had WLS. You can take an online course that will speed up your process, and be able to meet with him all the sooner for your first appointment. Good luck to you on your journey.

I am 10 months post op with Dr. C. He is a charming, intelligent and considerate man who knows his stuff. At the time of my surgery, he had performed over 800 surgeries, so he is well experienced and has encountered just about every individuality there is. [you have to remember that every body really is unique].

I'm a patient of Dr. Caruana's, having had RNY 8/23/04. I have lost 41 lbs. in the past 5 weeks, have had no complications, and am feeling just great. I'm exercising daily, about 40-60 min. a day and for the first time that I can remember, I feel good about exercising as well.
I agree with the above postings, and have the highest respects for Dr. Caruana, his procedure, his staff, and also I'd like to add that I think Sister's Hospital in Buffalo where he performs his surgery is fantastic. The hospital is very clean with the cutting edge technology, and the nursing staff is very professional and caring.
This was the second time I was a patient at Sister's Hospital, the other time about a year ago having cervical neck fusion. The hospital is really first class.
