Hi I will having Dr P do my surgery hopefully sooner than later. I was hoping you could answer a couple of questions for me? I have been having a hard time getting the weight off and was wondering from a patient view how is it afterwards?

Hi- You can call me anytime- forget the holiday--call if you need to talk.  Take a deep breath- all of us were nervous.  i was a WRECK.  It was the best decision I ever made.  You will have a tool that will let you follow a diet.  No more crazy hunger or guilt when you screw up, and for maybe the first time you will realize that you can lose weight.  I actually thought I had a metabolic disorder and could never lose weight.  956-4814.   Ready but nervous is a great thing!  You will be fine.  Dr. Dawn

I live in Troy/Brunswick just outside of Albany. Having surgery late Jan ( I think) 6lbs to go before they will schedule.

Dr. Clarke is the surgeon out of Ellis Hospital. I've opted for the Sleeve. I'm very nervous and excited. I hate having this extra weight. I'm 5'4 currently 224 . Would love to hear good, bad, suggestions...thanks much

Set to have my surgery jan 16. Excited an nervous at the same time. I attend grp at Amc weekly but the more support the better.

Hey all, 

I just moved back to the area from Massachusetts. I had my surgery last April. I have been feeling a little lost since I have been back. I used to go to the support meetings at the hospital that I had my RNY done at but not sure where to go now. Just looking for a little local support to get me back on track. Can you recommend anything?
